2023 - 2024 No Kid Hungry TREA Member District Cohorts: TREA is proud to partner with No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry Texas is a campaign of the national non-profit organization Share Our Strength. No Kid Hungry Texas provides grants, resources and technical assistance to school districts and community organizations to help strengthen their child nutrition programs, ensuring that all kids have access to three healthy meals a day. No Kid Hungry Texas also partners with TREA to run the Texas Rural School District which provides six rural school districts $30,000 and an opportunity to meet with one another to share promising practices in feeding students in their community. Rural Non-Congregate Summer Meals Explore menu creation and recipe development designed specifically for rural non-congregate summer meal service. In this webinar, three child nutrition experts will share their experience in menu planning for summer meal services. Our experts will provide attendees with invaluable strategies and ideas for preparing appealing and nutritious summer menus aimed at increasing child participation in summer meals. New Non-Congregate Resource! No Kid Hungry has created a Summer Meals Outreach Toolkit to help. Use these resources to maximize the impact of outreach efforts in schools, faith communities, community organizations, and online. The toolkit has been updated to include additional non-congregate summer meal resources for Summer 2024 and beyond.
